A. Once you have purchased your hearing protectors, either through our online store, by phone or by email, You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken by a member of our nationwide network of Audiologists.
Having an impression taken is a quick and painless process that takes around 15 minutes to complete. The Audiologist will examine your ear to ensure there is no excessive wax, then a foam plug is applied to create a seal in front of your eardrum. Finally, a soft silicone impression material is injected into the ear and allowed to set for 5 to 8 minutes before being gently removed.
Your Elacin hearing protectors will be manufactured and returned to the Audiologist within 28 days. You'll need to make a 15 minute appointment with the Audiologist to ensure your custom hearing protectors fit you perfectly. The cost for both appointments are included in the price of the product.
